If Tamriel seems different to you lately, it's because it changed forever last week. I’ve seen a lot of shows at the Bannered Mare, and everyone in the bard scene knows it's one of the best places to play in Tamriel, and while it might have something to do with their amazing green room and food offerings, a large part of that magic is undoubtedly brought by their in house performer, Mikael. Though some may say he’s a bit coarse off the stage, it’s hard to argue with the performance and energy he brings to the fireside once he strums his first chord.
While it’s been at least 3 seasons since he’s dropped any new pieces, those in the know, and more than a few lucky randoms were in for a real treat last week when on a lonely Tirdas evening, he debuted his newest album ‘Songs of Sovngarde’ in it’s entirety. Not a dry eye left the tavern that evening. I don’t think it’s an understatement to say that not only is SOS a COMPLETE banger from start to finish, but the tale of what Mikael managed to do with music that evening will be a song in itself, sung for a hundred years...
